Laura de Wilde is a Dutch visual artist working from her studio in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Her works emerge from intuition and coincidence; the ideas and effects arise organically until there is the right mix of colour, light, movement, structure, sensitivity and sequence. ‘Most inspiration comes from nature; it’s a rich resource in terms of colour, obviously, but foremost in terms of structure, order and visual experience. In my works there is harmony and decorative qualities however I search for and aim to evoke a mystical energy.’ ‘It is to do with synchronicity; everything is intertwined, from strokes, structures to shadows, from carriers to paints and pigments, to frame or no frame and so to end result. It is the process. Whatever happens along the way is what needs to happen.’
